"For as long as I can remember, I have loved creating and building things. I grew up working alongside my Dad in his woodworking shop, knowing that one day I would follow my passion and own my own custom woodworking company. My wife, Malorie, and I are proud to own a very successful local custom furniture company, designing and building beautiful custom pieces for our wonderful clients. And along the way, we discovered that our homeowners had an equal need and interest in custom home organization. Today, we are excited to introduce Inspired Closets to Metro Detroit, offering functional yet beautiful designs that make a real difference in our clients’ lives. Design Team

Malorie Coughlin

Designer

Malorie began in the home industry many years ago after becoming a mother. Her husband, Justin, had opened a hand-crafted furniture company and she helped him with the design and photography. Malorie loves being able to help meet a client’s home improvement needs because she knows just how much good organization can help improve a person’s daily life.

When asked "What inspires you?" Malorie tells us that she loves timeless designs that are both functional and beautiful. Outside of work, she enjoys running, cooking, photography, and spending time with her three sweet boys.

During the design process, Inspired Closets helped me come up with the designs for the closet that we needed to help organize our life.

Dan has spent the past 10 years working in a variety of roles in the carpentry field, from rough framing all the way to fine finishes. He even began his own custom furniture business, building anything from custom cabinets to dining room sets. For Dan, the best part of working at Inspired Closets is seeing a product go from its packaging to a final masterpiece.

When asked "What inspires you?" Dan tells us that he takes inspiration from nature, architecture, and history. When he’s not installing closets, you’ll find Dan hunting, fishing, hiking, or teaching his daughters how to build.
