Our Simple Closet Design Process
Transforming your closet space is easier than you think. In fact, that is what many of our past Kansas City area clients tell us and others. Our simple, four-step process is what makes it fun and easy: Consult. Design. Prepare. Install. If you’re looking for custom closet design and installation in Kansas City, our team is ready to help.
We begin the custom closet process with a consultation. Our designers ask you questions so they can get to know you, your lifestyle, and your space. During the initial consultation, we take a detailed inventory of the items you own and measure your space. We encourage you to tell us what you like about your space and what’s simply not working that needs to change. You don’t have to know exactly what you want in your new custom closet or how to solve the problem. That’s our job.
The learnings from the initial consultation become the foundation for the design of your custom closet. We use what you tell us to create a functional layout that works for you. The initial consultation guides us as we create a customized solution for your home organization needs. We’ll show you layout and design options that align with your needs. Then, we’ll share our recommendations for colors, finishes, and hardware that matches your home decor, all within your budget. We also know that you might change your mind during the design stage, and that’s ok. We are patient. Our job is to make sure you love your custom closet and the entire Inspired Closets experience. Part of the design process is the creation of a 3D rendering of your custom closet in your Kansas City home. Seeing your custom closet design in 3D will help you visualize the space and easily make design changes.
Once the design is final, preparation for installation begins. We understand that cleaning out your closet can be overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. To help you, we offer simple things like garment racks so that your clothes are hung up and easily accessible while we’re installing your new custom closet. We also remove the current closet structure and prepare the walls for your new custom closet installation.
On installation day, our installers are on time, professional, and respectful of your space. After their closet installation, our clients frequently tell us that their new custom closet looks exactly like the 3D rendering they saw in the design step. We are joyful when our clients tell us how easy it was to work with us and how much fun they had designing a custom closet for their Kansas City home.
We would love to help you transform your closets, as well as your laundry room, pantry, entryway, home office, or garage into an organized, inspired space built just for you and all the things you own and love.
