I discovered my interest in design while making custom furniture with my friend and mentor, Russ Timm. After serving eight years in the military, I came home to the Charleston/Tri-County area to pursue my career in custom closet design. I reconnected with Russ and through mutual respect and friendship, I was honored to have the opportunity to purchase his Charleston business and carry forward that custom closet legacy. Fast forward to today and we are proud to be Charleston/Tri-County area's custom closet provider of choice, and we are beyond excited to now service the Charlotte area, too. We’re glad you are here, and we hope to see you in our Inspired Closets Charlotte showroom soon!

Chris Rushing
Design Consultant
After graduating from Clemson University, Chris launched his career in interior remodeling by transforming spaces for major hotel chains and corporations along the Eastern Seaboard. During this time, he mastered the art of creating environments that blend comfort and functionality—spaces that truly feel like a home away from home. Following his marriage and the arrival of his twin boys, Chris decided to put down roots in the Charlotte area. Drawing on his extensive experience, he now focuses on helping his neighbors design spaces that are not only beautiful but also practical, tailored to enhance daily life.
When asked, “What inspires you?” Chris says he’s driven by the joy of a well-organized home where everything has its place. His passion is helping clients achieve that same sense of balance and comfort in their own homes. Outside of work, you’ll often find Chris outdoors, sharing his love of soccer with his sons and their friends.
Krystal Hargett
Design Consultant
Originally from Charlotte, NC, Krystal holds a degree in design and began her interior design career specializing in kitchens, baths, and natural stone. She has a passion for space planning and loves creating organized, functional environments. As the mother of a daughter with ADHD, Krystal learned early on the importance of a calming, well-organized home. That personal journey deepened her love for interior design and taught her the value of practical, beautiful spaces that truly support the people living in them. Now recently married, a stepmother, and a new grandmother, Krystal continues to evolve her creativity, constantly finding new ways to design spaces that grow with families.
When asked, “What inspires you?” Krystal says she’s driven by helping her clients bring their dream spaces to life. Her goal is always to help homeowners achieve their vision through thoughtful, personalized design. When she’s not working, Krystal enjoys spending time with family, scuba diving in the Caribbean, and catching live concerts with friends.

Nicole Whray
Project Coordinator & Office Manager
Nicole has ten years of experience in management and administrative roles. She welcomed the opportunity to join the family business and work alongside her cousins and owners of Inspired Closets, Robert and Mary Allen. Nicole has a keen eye for detail and a passion for organization. She plays a pivotal role at Inspired Closets Charlotte as our dedicated Project Coordinator and Office Manager, ensuring that every client's journey is seamless and efficient.
When asked, "What inspires you?" Nicole tells us, “There's nothing more rewarding than seeing the smile on a client's face when they see their newly organized and beautiful closet. Knowing that our work has significantly improved their organization, efficiency, and overall happiness is incredibly inspiring.” When she isn't helping clients achieve their goals, Nicole immerses herself in books and is always eager to explore different perspectives and ideas. She also finds joy in hosting loved ones. Creating warm and welcoming spaces for these occasions is a natural extension of her passion for creating functional and inviting environments.
Georgie Small
Administrative Assistant & Social Media Coordinator
Georgie is an administrative assistant at Inspired Closets with four years of experience in administrative work. Currently pursuing an associate degree in information technology, she brings a blend of organizational expertise and a passion for technology to streamline operations and enhance client experiences.
When asked, “What inspires you?” Georgie shares that it’s the creativity and care poured into every project. Being part of a team that collaborates to provide clients with seamless experiences and high-quality results is deeply fulfilling. Knowing that their work transforms homes and improves daily lives motivates her every day. When she’s not helping clients begin their journey to transforming their spaces, Georgie enjoys spending time with friends and family and taking her beloved fur babies on adventures.
