That love for clean, uncluttered spaces has shaped my career, driving me to make organization my life’s work to help others create calm and order in their lives.

In 2001, I opened Organized Spaces, and over the years, our passion for helping clients get organized has only deepened. Paul’s career in the RTA furniture industry has spanned multiple positions, from warehouse work and installation to sales and store management. This diverse experience has shown him the importance of valuing employees and customers above profits when building a successful business. As the owner of Inspired Closets, Paul still enjoys creating spaces that make our clients happy while also supporting our employees' success. He’s inspired by a well-organized warehouse and shop, the satisfaction of leaving a clean, functional space for clients, and seeing our employees grow and take pride in their work. Paul’s wife, kids, and grandchildren are central to his life and motivation. Outside of work, he enjoys discovering good wine, cooking, grilling, and tailgating with friends and family.

During the design process, Inspired Closets helped me come up with the designs for the closet that we needed to help organize our life.

Michael Danes

Design & Sales Manager

Michael has years of experience in custom closets and home organization, where he’s learned the ropes of design and sales in fast-paced environments. After some time in the industry, he felt ready for a new challenge and joined Inspired Closets. It was a perfect fit—combining closet design, great customer experiences, and a competitive sales drive. At Inspired Closets, Michael’s favorite part of his job is teaching his team the consultation process and helping them overcome obstacles to reach their goals. He still collaborates closely with clients and interior designers, cherishing the opportunity to tackle their design challenges. Both Michael’s clients and team keep him inspired, driving him to create something truly special each day. Michael draws inspiration from art, travel, and nature, which influences his work and daily life. Michael lives with his partner in North Seattle in a midcentury home with their German shepherd, August. In their spare time, they love gardening, creating, cooking, and spending time with friends. They often host dinner parties centered around art and their garden, sharing their passions with friends and family.

Brian Naranjo

Designer

Brian is a talented designer who has been with Inspired Closets Seattle since 2003. During this time, Brian has designed thousands of amazing storage solutions and played an integral role in the success and growth of the business. Most importantly, Brian takes great pride in designing spaces that are both functional and beautiful, making sure to bring his clients’ visions to life. Brian is a proud grandfather, he loves to cook, and he especially loves hitting a game-winning basket out on the court.

Peggy Thurtle

Designer

After completing a degree in interior design, Peggy worked for a builder for ten years before transitioning into closet design, a field she’s been in for over twenty years, collaborating with homeowners, builders, and other designers. As a designer at Inspired Closets, Peggy enjoys the challenge of combining her knowledge with clients' ideas and spaces to provide them with great value and designs. Her inspiration comes from working in the garden, spending time with family and friends, and seeing a design come to life. Peggy is married with three grandchildren: a 7-year-old granddaughter in Hong Kong and two grandsons, ages 1 and 3, in Port Townsend, who keep her on her toes. Outside of work, Peggy is currently developing a property on Whidbey Island with her husband, having designed a house plan that will begin construction in spring 2024. Peggy also enjoys gardening, walking, and sharing wine with friends. Peggy previously owned a vineyard where she hosted farm-to-table dinners, and she looks forward to creating similar outdoor spaces on Whidbey.

Dan Krpan

Designer

With over three decades of experience in the home-related industries, including 21 years in plumbing and heating and 14 years at Inspired Closets, Dan has cultivated a deep passion for creating organized, functional living spaces. Currently serving as a designer, he finds immense satisfaction in helping clients realize the potential of their closets, pantries, garages, and more, transforming these areas into efficient and aesthetically pleasing environments. Dan’s inspiration comes from the philosophy of "a place for everything and everything in its place," driving his dedication to organization and efficiency. Married for 44 years with two sons and a large extended family, Dan values family connections and balances his professional life with hobbies like golf, supporting local sports teams, and maintaining his home. Dan’s career at Inspired Closets is marked by a commitment to improving clients' lives through well-designed spaces, combining his extensive experience with a genuine love for organization and functionality.

KrisAnne Mehan

Designer

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design from WSU, KrisAnne spent 23 years in commercial urban landscaping, advancing to Executive Vice President of Operations overseeing a multi-state region. Seeking a return to creative design after the 2008 economic downturn, she entered the closet design industry, eventually moving her way up before finding a niche in home organization. At Inspired Closets, KrisAnne cherishes building lasting relationships with local builders, designers, and clients, guiding them through a personalized design process that enhances their home’s functionality and aesthetics. Outside of work, KrisAnne treasures time with her two daughters and granddaughter, enjoys growing organic produce, cooking seasonal meals, and embracing the serene lifestyle of Whidbey Island.

Bryce Wheeler

Designer

Bryce began his career installing custom projects for over 10 years, where he learned to appreciate the unique challenges and satisfaction of delivering quality installations that clients can enjoy for years. The mantras "Protect the 10," and "That was custom!" reflect Bryce’s dedication to excellence. Transitioning to design work during nights and weekends, he has found joy in seeing projects through from concept to completion. Eventually, Bryce shifted to design full-time and adapted to remote design during the COVID-19 pandemic, enhancing his ability to collaborate with clients from anywhere. Bryce’s deep experience allows him to evaluate spaces, address challenges, and exceed client expectations. He loves maximizing functionality and aesthetic appeal, working with his team to bring client dreams to life. Inspired by the natural beauty around him, Bryce enjoys various outdoor adventures. He and his wife, along with their two kids, cherish family adventures, reading time, and instilling core values of doing their best and having fun. Outside of work, Bryce stays active on mountain bike trails, disc golf courses, and motorcycle rides, with family beach trips and outdoor adventures being his favorite.

Olesya Shulga

Designer

With extensive experience in customer service and a solid technical background, Olesya has honed her skills in various industries, focusing on interior and closet design in recent years. As a designer at Inspired Closets, she finds immense joy working with knowledgeable and supportive professionals to create unique, functional, and beautiful spaces that bring happiness to her clients. Olesya’s inspiration comes from transforming ordinary closets into dreamlike spaces and seeing the satisfaction in her customers' eyes. Olesya’s family, including her loving husband, two smart teenage girls, and two playful cats, is her source of strength and joy. They enjoy exploring snow-covered mountains, visiting new places, and watching movies together. Olesya also practices yoga, enjoys walking, loves watching comedy, and has a special fondness for oysters paired with champagne, all of which bring simple pleasures to her life.

Katrina Strein

Designer

Originally from Minnesota, Katrina moved to Washington state over a decade ago and has embraced the PNW as her new home. With 14 years of experience as an interior designer and professional home organizer, Katrina brings a blend of practicality and aesthetics to her role at Inspired Closets. She takes great pleasure in applying her creative touch and keen spatial planning skills to craft custom designs that exceed her clients' expectations. What inspires Katrina most is listening to each client's unique needs and transforming their dreams into reality through the creative design process. Outside of work, Katrina cherishes time spent with her husband and family. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, antiquing, traveling, and decorating her home, all activities that bring her immense joy and fulfillment.

Brice Robinson

Designer

Brice began his career in interior design by co-founding a residential interior design firm in Washington after graduating from Highline College. After establishing the foundation for that business, he transitioned into luxury home goods sales at the Seattle Design Center, where he served as both merchandiser and Outside Sales for the Greater PNW territory. Eventually, Brice returned to space planning and home improvement with Inspired Closets in Kirkland, Washington. In his role at Inspired Closets, Brice loves the opportunity to listen to clients' needs and help them develop and perfect the improvements they envision for their homes. The most impactful moments for him are when clients feel truly heard and their needs are fully met. Brice is passionate about bringing a custom and luxury experience to everyday consumers, treating even a small reach-in closet with the same dedication as a grand primary walk-in. As the oldest of four boys and a first-generation college graduate, Brice is accustomed to hard work and setting high standards. With roots in both Tampa, Florida, and Tacoma, Washington, he enjoys working with a diverse range of people. Outside of work, Brice indulges in various activities, from roller skating around the UW and Green Lake area to savoring new cocktails at rooftop lounges, always making the most of what the state has to offer.

Mike Allen

General Manager

With nearly twenty years in the closet industry, Mike’s journey began as a summertime installer and evolved through various roles, including installing, scheduling, scrubbing, ordering, and designing projects. Mike’s background in business-to-business sales has honed his project management and communication skills, essential for his current operations and management role at Inspired Closets. Mike has a passion for problem-solving unique spaces and seeing projects through to completion on a large scale. He’s inspired by overcoming challenges, hitting goals, and witnessing our team’s collaborative successes. Outside of work, Mike cherishes time with his wife and two young children in the Pacific Northwest, enjoys coaching snowboarding during the winter, and loves swimming, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.

Andy Gist

Operations & Purchasing

Andy began his career installing in 2006, back when the company was a small team of 7-8 people. As the company grew, he took on various roles in warehouse operations, including ordering, shipping, receiving, scheduling, and pulling jobs. Andy became a key figure in coordinating job orders from designers and ensuring smooth installations. He then transitioned to purchasing, and later became a support resource for designers using our software, STUDIO, to help clients achieve their desired results. What Andy loves most about his role at Inspired Closets is helping the team, saving the company money, and ensuring the installation team has everything they need for smooth jobs. In life, Andy is inspired by God and strives to live a life that honors Him. At work, Andy is motivated by owner Paul Valley, whose leadership and care for people inside and outside the company has profoundly impacted Andy. Outside of work, Andy coaches the Cedar Park Christian High School Cross Country Team and assists with Track and Field. He also enjoys ultimate frisbee, basketball, riding the flow rider, and spending quality time with his wife, Erin, and their two children, Ryleigh and Dylan.
