During the design process, Inspired Closets helped me come up with the designs for the closet that we needed to help organize our life.

Paul Valley
“When I was a teenager, I found joy in organizing our garage. I can still remember the satisfaction of a freshly swept, perfectly arranged space—it was like a breath of fresh air. That love for clean, uncluttered spaces has shaped my career, driving me to make organization my life’s work to help others create calm and order in their lives.
In 2001, I opened Organized Spaces, and over the years, our passion for helping clients get organized has only deepened. Whether you're overwhelmed by clutter or looking to revitalize a space, we’re here to make it happen. Organized Spaces was built on a foundation of quality, service, and creativity, and now, as Inspired Closets, we still maintain these values at the heart of everything we do. Let us bring your vision of a beautifully organized space to life.”

Paul’s career in the RTA furniture industry has spanned multiple positions, from warehouse work and installation to sales and store management. This diverse experience has shown him the importance of valuing employees and customers above profits when building a successful business. As the owner of Inspired Closets, Paul still enjoys creating spaces that make our clients happy while also supporting our employees' success. He’s inspired by a well-organized warehouse and shop, the satisfaction of leaving a clean, functional space for clients, and seeing our employees grow and take pride in their work. Paul’s wife, kids, and grandchildren are central to his life and motivation. Outside of work, he enjoys discovering good wine, cooking, grilling, and tailgating with friends and family.
Michael has years of experience in custom closets and home organization, where he’s learned the ropes of design and sales in fast-paced environments. After some time in the industry, he felt ready for a new challenge and joined Inspired Closets. It was a perfect fit—combining closet design, great customer experiences, and a competitive sales drive. At Inspired Closets, Michael’s favorite part of his job is teaching his team the consultation process and helping them overcome obstacles to reach their goals. He still collaborates closely with clients and interior designers, cherishing the opportunity to tackle their design challenges. Both Michael’s clients and team keep him inspired, driving him to create something truly special each day. Michael draws inspiration from art, travel, and nature, which influences his work and daily life. Michael lives with his partner in North Seattle in a midcentury home with their German shepherd, August. In their spare time, they love gardening, creating, cooking, and spending time with friends. They often host dinner parties centered around art and their garden, sharing their passions with friends and family.
Kat’s experience with designing custom closets started back in 2006. When her son was young, she spent several years away from closets, traveling and working in Alaska, working in the Southwest as an Artist and Community Events Organizer for mural events, and working in Mexico serving as an Artist in Residence and volunteer coordinator at an eco-tourism venture. Kat came back to closets in 2019 and rekindled her love for custom design. She enjoys working collaboratively with clients to create designs, finding immense joy in watching them light up when they realize they can create a functional solution that fits their specific and unique needs.
When asked, “What inspires you?” Kat shares that she’s inspired by the intuitive flow of our process and seeing big picture, working on each project as if she’s putting together a puzzle, and the back and forth with clients that leads to a space they truly love. When she’s not designing closets, Kat is designing and building her own home from the ground up with her partner. She is also a published poet and muralist, enjoys photography and travel, and has her own business making handmade jewelry that she sells at the farmers market and in local stores.

Kirk joins Inspired Closets Seattle with extensive experience in project management, operations coordination and management in the wood importation and distribution industry, and HVAC distribution and installation. In his current role as project delivery manager, he loves doing what’s right for each client while working in a growing environment.
Kirk is inspired by using his past proven project management and operations experiences to help shape the future of the company. Life over the past two decades has been dominated by Kirk’s wife’s illnesses and subsequent passing. Seeing that he was lost, his niece and nephew invited him out to Seattle for a change. This move has done wonders for Kirk and has sparked a reconnection with his brothers. Outside of work, Kirk enjoys music and the outdoors, whether on land or water. Before moving here, Kirk knew nature was an attraction of the Pacific Northwest, but he has been surprised by the community the outdoors, along with the robust musical options, have given him.
